Southwest Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation

The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center (SWCC) in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing Arizona mammals.

The center cares for a wide variety of animals, including coyotes, bobcats, javelinas, foxes, mountain lions, black bears, deer, and more. The primary goal of SWCC is to return these animals to the wild whenever possible.

For those animals that the center cannot release due to injury, orphaning, or human imprinting, the center provides a permanent sanctuary home, ensuring they live out their lives in a safe and natural environment.

 Educational Tours

Visitors to the SWCC can learn about these animals and their stories through various guided tours. The tours offer an up-close view of the sanctuary’s permanent residents and provide insights into each animal’s journey to the center.

  • Walk with Wildlife Tour: This popular daytime tour offers a two-hour guided experience where visitors can learn about the sanctuary animals.
  • Twilight Tours: Held on select evenings, these tours showcase the transition of diurnal and nocturnal mammals from day to night.
  • Full Moon Tour: A special evening tour conducted by the full moon’s light, allowing visitors to observe the animals’ nocturnal behaviors.
